Getting in to a tribe is an important part of the game. It is almost impossible to survive without tribe. There are usually a lot of tribes sending out invitations to everyone but usually these tribes end up nowhere because they recruit a lot of horrible players what kills the tribe.
When starting a new world there is no rush for getting in to a tribe. I would suggest waiting at least for few days before deciding which tribe to join. Not always the tribes with more members are better. It depends on player and especially leader quality. There are few main factors which you should consider before joining the tribe or if you are already in the tribe how to tell if it is a good tribe to stay:
1. Amount of members` tribe has. You don’t need to search for the tribe which has the most players because they usually recruit everyone in their sight. But you also shouldn’t join tribes which have only few members if you are not sure that they will recruit some more.
2. Member location is very important for every tribe. You can have all the best players in your tribe but if they are spread all over the world and can’t cooperate it doesn’t mean a thing. Members also shouldn’t be places in too tight clusters because that way they will slow each other down and it will be harder to expand and grow.
3. How organized the tribe is. Even the best tribes can fall if they are not acting together. Tribe must have a strong leadership which will unite all the members. You can also see by tribes forums how organized tribe is. If they have very messy forum (I don’t mean many posts) and you can’t find the information you need then there is something wrong with the tribe.
4. Diplomatic relations. Most tribes tend to get as many diplomatic relations as possible without thinking if they will benefit their own tribe. I was happy so see many light blue dots around me too when I just started playing tribal wars and thought that we are unbeatable with so many allies and NAPs but I was wrong. You should only consider signing relations with tribes which you can work together and that will benefit both tribes or else you will just surround yourself with even more blue dots and block your growth.
5. It is better if tribe uses skype or any other chat program for communication. It will not only speed up all the process but will also let you know your tribe mates what can improve your team work.
If you have joined a tribe but see that it is going nowhere I would suggest you to leave as soon as possible and find a better one. There is no use for staying in a tribe just for sake of it.
If you want to start your own tribe, think again. There are usually huge amount of tribes with 1-3 players. These tribes failed at recruiting what is not as easy at it may look. It is better to start a tribe when you have already few players who you know will join you. People tend to join tribes which already have some amount of members instead of 1 man tribes.
Leading a tribe requires much more time then simply playing. You will have to solve all the internal problems and if your tribe is doing somehow good you will have to answer loads of mails every day. You will have to think about all the strategies and tactics. Will need to push your members and kick those who are not participating. Probably you will also need to account sit more accounts then anyone else. There is a huge list about “things to do” when you lead a tribe. But if you are sure you can spend more time and lead a tribe then go for it. But remember that there is nothing worse for the tribe than inactive leadership.

Farming with firefox tabs (video)
This is a way how to send out numerous farming raids in a minute. I sent out only 10 raids in a video but that was just to show you how it is done. You can add as many farms as you want. There are few steps how it is set up (you will need PA and FireFox to do it) :
1. Farm all villages you want to keep farming constantly with the amount of troops you need to clear all the resources from the village (depends on how high mines are in the village and how often you send farming raids) and don't lose anything on villages general defense or wall. It is better to calculate how much resources village produce in a period of time between you send farming raids. Lets say you send raids once in 2h and village produces 1000 each resources per hour so in 2h there will be 6k resources together. You will need 75 light cavalry to haul every resource this village produces in those 2h. But you don't have to do it if you don't want to just chose the amount of troops you want and send.
2. Don't delete report but create a new group in reports where you gonna keep them.
3. In each report press the button "attack again with same troops" and open it in new tab. You will open 1 tab for each farm you want to farm this way.
4. Save those tabs in bookmarks with "bookmark all tabs"
5. Whenever you want to send farming raids just open your bookmarks where you saved those tabs and press "open all tabs".
6. Now you will have many tabs and you just need to click "OK" in all of them and your farming raids are sent.
P.S. in worlds with growing barbarian villages you probably wont be able to haul all the resources from the village after a while because they will keep upgrading mines and you can't change just 1 tab. So you will need to change all the tabs after a while if you want to farm everything that way.

Farming
Farming is essential part of the game. To grow faster you need more resources for that you need take away resources from other villages or farm them.
In worlds with Paladins you can try rushing for paladin to do so you need to build: iron mine lvl 1, timber camp lvl 1, clay pit lvl 1 and only then statue and paladin. They can carry 100 resources and have enough offensive power to farm alone. But that is only useful if you have abandoned villages near you.
First farming troops you get are spear fighters. They have very low offensive power that’s why you must use them only to farm villages with no troops. They can carry 25 resources each. You shouldn’t send them 1 by 1 because each village has general defense and they will die. You should start farming when you have 7+ spears so that they would cover lose for lost spears and gain more resources. Later you can add 4 or more swords with your spears and you won’t lose anything against village general defense. If villages have a wall you will lose more. That depends on wall level.
The best farming unit in the game is light cavalry. They carry 80 resources each and move much faster then spears and they are also offensive units so they can kill villages’ general defense. You should also add 1 scout with each farming group for more efficient farming. You will see how high mines are in the village and how much resources left.
There are different types of farms.
1. Abandoned, barbarian villages. They don’t produce troops so they will be empty unless someone has stacked them. You can farm them with spears and usually don’t have to worry about them dieing. You should farm all resources from them all the time you can. Those are the easiest resources you can get.
2. Inactive players. Player created villages, but is not playing. Their points aren’t growing. Usually you can farm them just like those would be abandoned villages, basically those are abandoned. You should check how many points that village has because maybe the player who created that village, built barracks and some troops and only then abandoned account. Villages under 100 points usually wont have barracks. If that village has more points you should scout it to see if there is any defense before nobling.
3. Turtling players. Players who are playing but are very inactive. They log in only once in a whole but they can build troops if they want. You should scout them each time before farming or send enough troops to kill everything he could have trained from the last time you farmed/attacked him. There is no use to attack and farm players who are constantly building troops and hide their resources so that you don’t get anything from them but just lose your troops.
4. Very aggressive and active players. You will see them by they speed their points are growing. If they are active they are growing much faster then most of the players near them. You should avoid farming them because they will probably hide resources and will kill your troops if they can. If you want you can try to sign a person NAP with him and don’t attack each other but don’t do it if you think you are stronger than him.
If you see that someone is very aggressive in your area you should scouting everyone else there to see who has been cleared and farm them without clearing. You don’t have to kill troops by yourself you can always use farms which other player have made.
If you see someone whom you want to clear but know that he could counter-attack you or dodge it would be better to know when he is not online so that he couldn’t do that. You can try mailing him to say “hi” or ask something to see when he is opening your mails and replying. I wouldn’t suggest you adding such players to your friend list. You will be able to see when he is online (if you have PA) but they will be able to see it too and can do the same to you. That’s why you shouldn’t answer mails from your neighbors as soon as you get online so that you wouldn’t give away information about your online time. And don’t let them know which country are you from because they will know your time zone by that and can attack you at night.
I’ll add video tutorial how to send out farming raids very fast today or tomorrow so subscribe and check back later.

Troops
Defensive troops:
Spear fighter – Probably first troops which you will train will be spear fighters. These guys are very useful in the beginning to farm abandoned villages which don’t have troops in them. They can carry 25 resources. That is why you should train them in the beginning and use them to farm. They have very low offensive power what means that if you would attack someone who had troops in defense with spear army you will lose. They are good in defense against cavalry.
Swordsman – Another defensive unit only this one has a bit better offensive power (that doesn’t mean that you can attack villages with troops using swordsman’s) but they can carry only 10 resources so they aren’t good for farming. You could build few swords in the beginning to send with spears groups. If you send spear farming raids with 5 swords in them then you won’t lose spears against villages’ general defense. The problem with swords is that they are much slower than any other unit except nobleman. Swords have high general defense.
Archer – He has good general and cavalry defense but can easily be crushed by mounted archers. These guys are very useful because from my experience not many players build many mounted archers what gives you opportunity to build more archers in defense.
Heavy Cavalry –Can be used in defense and offense. They are my favorite units in defense and I usually replace swords with HC because they are so much faster than swords. They are built in stables so you can build defense in barracks and stables at the same time what saves you few days for building up full defensive village. You can also use HC to attack. Usually I send my nobles with HC escort.
Offensive troops:
Axeman – One of two main attacking troops. There are usually ~5-10k axes in nuke.
Light cavalry – The best farming unit in Tribal Wars. They can carry 80 resources and move very fast. They are also your main offensive troops.
Mounted archers –Good against archers, but not very popular. You should add at least few hundred MA to your nukes.
Rams- They are only good for destroying walls in enemy villages. But they play very important role in attacking. By destroying walls you decrease bonus enemy troops receive from walls what can be very high. They attack before any other troops so they will lower the wall before your other units fight.
Catapults – great for destroying building in enemy villages. You can use them to kill enemies which you don’t want to noble.
Scouts- They can be used in offense and defense. They are good for higher farming efficiency to see how high mines are in you farm and how many resources left after you farm them. They can tell you how many troops enemy has but in worlds where you can’t see troops outside the village your opponent can dodge your scouts and you won’t see what he has. You can also use them in defense to hide information from your troops/buildings from attacker but you need twice as much scouts in defense then attacker has. Scouts in offense can be killed only by scouts in defense.
Paladin – can be used as early farmer if you have abandoned villages near you. He is also great with sending support. If you send defense with paladin to support a village they will move twice as fast as without paladin.
Nobleman- only unit which can noble a village, but it’s not enough to hit only once with noble. You need 3-5 times to hit a village with nobleman. Each nobleman lowers loyalty in range between 20 and 35. They must be sent with escort. After nobling a village your paladin disappears.

Sending noble train (video)
One of the most important parts in this game is sending noble train. You must send nobles very close to each other. There are few ways how to send them. This one is with FireFox. You can get FireFox on the top right corner of this page. After sending nobles like that you must make sure that noble with clearing hits first because sometimes TW lags and first clicked attack isn't exactly the first launched.
I'll add new videos later about how to send out many farming raids in few seconds, how to send even faster noble trains and some more. Meanwhile enjoy this video and subscribe. I hope it helps you.

Starting a new world in Tribal Wars
There are several of tactics in the beginning and it also depends on the settings in the world you play. If it has paladins then you could consider creating a statue right after upgrading iron mine, timber camp and clay pit, and start early farming with paladin. This tactic is more suitable in worlds with bonus villages because you can farm only abandoned, barbarian, bonus villages in the beginning. All players are under beginner protection and you can’t attack them.
You can also choose on what to concentrate in the beginning: training spears and farming if you can be active enough or get an account sitter to farm constantly. If you chose to do so you don’t need high mines before you build your barracks. After that keep producing spears and upgrading your mines. You won’t need high iron mine because spears take only 10 iron. Instead you will need high timber camp. If you experience having too much 1 resource you should build market to trade it for the resources you lack. I like early farming because it’s me who affects my resource flow by how often I farm. But you can farm only bonus, barbarian and abandoned villages so if you don’t have any of them near you this method won’t be effective.
Instead of early farming you can concentrate on your resources first. All you need to do is build up resources. Usually I keep my timber camp 2 levels and clay pit 1 level higher than iron. This way you can get a bit less resources then by farming actively but this is more secure because you won’t be in horrible situation like if you would lose all your troops while farming and would have very low mines.
When you are farming enough resources and have decent mines (I usually am very active and farm a lot so for me it could be something like: 12 wood, 9 clay , 7 iron) you should start building up your HQ, barracks and smithy to research axes or build stables and train light cavalry. I prefer skipping axes and going for light cavalry in the beginning because LC is the best farming unit in the game. Some prefer building axes because most players have only spears in defense in the beginning and they are not good against axes. But you can farm a lot more from barbarian villages using LC then from active players with axes if you need to clear them all the time and he can dodge with resources and you get nothing just lose your troops.
You should achieve a state when you can build troops in barracks, stables and HQ 24/7. Don’t try to upgrade barracks and stables too fast because if you won’t be able to produce troops there all the time it will be useless. When you have mines at about level 20 you can start going for an academy. It is a long way to build academy that’s why you shouldn’t concentrate on it while your troop production is not running nonstop. If you are able to farm more than you can use you can upgrade your HQ even higher than level 20. It’s the same with HQ as with barracks and stables. If you can build faster but still keep building 24/7 then go for it.

How to choose a world for you?

2. Depends on how long have world been running. There are some older worlds which are closed because they are full. But also from the worlds which are still open you should join the newest ones if you want to play it for a longer period of time. Top players won’t have so huge advantage over you if you start later. Also if you want to practice some starting tactics you can join older worlds because you will start on the rim far away from most of the top players and usually it is easy to build up your village on the rim because most of the players around are inactive. Also I wouldn’t suggest for the new players to start as soon as world opens because you will start in the core (center of the map) where most of the top players and tribes are. It’s better to start few days later and wind up in a bit more peaceful location.
3. Unit and academy types in the worlds. There are different types of units and academies in different worlds. Basic units are the same in all worlds but there are worlds with paladins and without them, with archers and without them. Usually there are 3 unit levels in smithy in worlds without archers. Academies can be with packages or with golden coins. For the beginners I would recommends worlds with golden coins and with 1 level per technology in smithy, usually these worlds are with archers and mounted archers. It is easier to play in worlds with more than 1 level for troops because you can’t educate all troops to maximum level and you must plan a lot more what to research.
What is tribal wars ?

Tribal wars is a browser based online game. It's been played by hundreds of thousands players in many different game worlds. Almost each world has its own settings so you can choose which ones you like more. Every player starts with 1 small village and need to buld it up and conquer new villages. Players make tribes which unite more players (usually tribe member limit is 100) to play together, grow together and fight together. Playing without a tribe can be very difficult and is not recomended to beginners. Even for experienced players it is very hard to play alone thats why it is called tribal wars.
